Job Overview:
The Financial Accountant is a member of the Financial Control team within the Finance Department. This role manages full-cycle vendor disbursements, exchange and regulatory fee tracking and balancing, and associated general ledger accounting activities.
This position is based in our Chicago office and requires a min of 3 days per week onsite in office.
Job Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including high-volume invoice processing
• Review and verify employee expense reports and corporate credit card logs
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payment issues proactively
• Track, calculate, and reconcile incoming or outgoing exchange and regulatory fees
• Post fee-related journal entries and ensure accurate allocation across cost centers or client accounts
• Coordinate with operations or client success teams to resolve fee disputes or billing discrepancies
• Prepare and review select balances sheet reconciliations, including month end reclassifications and analytics for financial reporting
• Participate in financial, regulatory and internal audit processes
• Assist with writing, reviewing and maintaining relevant standard operating procedure

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of applicable experience, internships considered
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Data analysis skills
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage large volumes of data
• Strong organizational skills, with an ability to manage deadline driven priorities
• Proven Excel skills with the ability to write Macros

Preferred Qualifications

• Concur experience a plus
• AvidXchange experience a plus
• Reliable and self-motivated

Below is the expected base salary for this position. Offers will ultimately be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and performance in the interview process. This position will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
Annual base salary, not including discretionary bonus eligibility: $70,000+
