Description
We are looking for a VP Finance who can bring extensive corporate FP&A and business finance leadership experience in hyper growth-stage environments. This executive will serve as a key leader of the finance team, guiding all strategic & financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting & analysis in partnership with the CEO, COO and other executives. Most importantly, the VP Finance will convey a wealth of critical financial information, business and market insights to enable key teams here at ZestFinance to make optimal investment, operational and management decisions. This is a highly visible role who is a key partner to the executive team.
In this role you will:
- Lead company-wide financial planning, business analysis and development of Zest’s short and long-term financial models.
- Proactively identify and pursue all possible means to improve financial and operational profitability, stability, and risk as well as recommend market expansion/partnership opportunities.
- Partner with key business leaders across the organization to develop financial and operational plans for key strategic pillars.
- Communicate the company’s strategic direction, financial outcomes by preparing investor, board and executive-grade reporting.
- Partner with the business analysis and accounting teams to lead continuous improvement initiatives for key financial systems, infrastructure and reports.
- Ensure our systems and processes capture all necessary financial data for accurate and comprehensive delivery of reports to the executive team and board
- Address all technology Requirements related to finance and accounting
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- Extensive experience building, leading and developing the FP&A function in both private and public companies
- 15+ years of experience working in a hyper-growth environments; consumer technology, marketplace or software finance experience strongly preferred
- Proven track record of developing people, leading and managing high-performing teams
- Strong executive leadership skills with experience partnering at the board, investor, executive management levels
- Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, cultivator of collaboratively working relationships with teams across an organization
- Forward-thinking, analytical and problem-solving mindset, drawn to building off of ambiguous and unsolved problems and “making it happen”
- Advanced Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- Able to lead several competing priorities
- Ability to articulate clear direction in presentation formats
