VP of Capital Markets

Who you are:
We are seeking a VP of Capital Markets who will be responsible for driving and executing our capital market strategy. You have deep expertise in finance and a passion for investments. You have a proven track record of creating and sustaining successful partnerships in the capital markets. You can build excitement for investment opportunities and can design partnership structures that meet our investors’ needs. This role will sit in our Los Angeles HQ and will report directly to the CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Support equity and debt raising activities
- Lead whole loan sales efforts including sourcing buyers, leading negotiations, and organizing successful execution
- Lead special projects required by the executive team
- Build a deep understanding of our operating business and create relationships with our leaders across the enterprise
Requirements:
- 5+ years of active/hands-on Investment Banking, Private Equity or Commercial/Corporate Banking experience and/or 8+ years of Financial Services experience
- Strong knowledge of Capital Markets
- Prior business development experience preferred
- Advanced experience with MS Excel financial forecasting
- Ability to present at all levels and to create sophisticated decks in PowerPoint
- Ability to apply a solutions-based approach to problem solving and to manage large projects
- Experience in project management ensuring timely delivery
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-driven and comfortable in a fast-changing, dynamic environment with ambitious schedules and plans
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- MBA or Master’s in Finance preferred
- Located or willing to relocate to Los Angeles
