Venture: Early-stage crypto hedge fund started by the Founder and Managing Partner of Wavemaker Partners, which has $325 million in assets under management
Strategies: Offering a strategy using asset backed digital securities to gain passive exposure to cryptocurrencies and other asset classes to generate growth and income
Treasury: Provide treasury and investment management solution for income, growth and preservation strategies for cryptocurrencies, digital assets, fiat and marketable securities
Consulting: Our team of consultants provide strategic solutions to crypto projects, blockchain protocols, digital asset issuers and corporate-backed token initiatives. 

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a fun, motivated, and intelligent teammate in the Los Angeles office. You are the Venture Analyst if you:

• Live, breathe and occasionally lose sleep about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
• Have 1 to 3 years experience at an investment bank, venture fund, consulting firm or related employer 
• Have excellent communication and presentation skills – both written and verbal. Ability to communicate and interact with many types of international executives and technologists
• Showcase high levels of emotional intelligence - people who are curious, professional, dynamic, persuasive, analytical and charismatic

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Located in Greater Los Angeles with ready transportation to our office near Santa Monica, CA. No remote office applications please.
• An undergraduate degree or equivalent with a track record of achievement
• Exposure to financial services industry (e.g. payments, capital markets, asset management) 
• Outstanding records of academic and managerial or professional achievement
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
• Self-starter that requires limited continued oversight and an ability to “manage up”
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing
• Willingness to travel

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively identifying new investment opportunities and qualifying inbound leads for the firm 
• Perform market and company research on broader industry trends
• Participate in due diligence discussions with company founders and prepare investment memos
• Supporting and collaborating with Wave Financial portfolio companies
