Who We Are Looking For
AuditBoard is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team! As a Staff Accountant, you will work closely with the finance and accounting team to maintain financial reporting, records, and assist with monthly close processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing transactional accounting activities including, posting daily cash transactions and handling accounts payable.This role will be critical in supporting the accounting manager and senior accountant towards making sound business decisions in both the short and long term.
Main Job Duties Include
- Report to the accounting manager and collaborate with a senior accountant as part of a growing team
- Maintain financial reporting, records, and general ledger accounts in accordance with US GAAP
- Assist with monthly close processes, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, particularly in the areas of:
- Bank reconciliations, fixed asset depreciation, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform transactional accounting activities, including:
- Posting daily cash transactions
- Accounts payable - Entering, coding, and tracking vendor invoices
- T&E - Review credit card and out-of-pocket expenses for accuracy
- Lead and perform ad hoc special projects, reports, and analyses as requested by Account Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CPA-eligible
- 1-3 years accounting experience with Big 4 or public/private mix
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Proficiency in Excel
- Growth mindset, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple concurrent projects and tasks
- Highly organized and detail oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Cloud SaaS company experience preferred
- Familiarity with NetSuite ERP, Google Suite, Bill.com, Expensify, and SalesForce a plus
