Staff Accountant
Role:
Reporting to the Controller, Staff Accountant will be responsible for AP and AR collections. This role supports the execution and reporting to internal parties and works closely with the Controller to support a growing company. This position is very hands-on and requires a detail-oriented individual who is able to understand business issues and provide analytical insight to support decision-making. The Staff Accountant will ensure that systems and procedures are in place to support efficiency as well as establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls.
Responsibilities:
- Record vendor bills into NetSuite
- Review and reconcile credit card expenditure
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations
- Monitor outstanding receivables and initiate collections procedures
- Perform other duties that may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or in Business with emphasis in accounting
- 1 to 3 years relevant accounting or accounts payable experience
- Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers
- Proficient in Excel & NetSuite
- Ability to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only a limited amount of information may be available
- Careful attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks while achieving deadlines
- Manufacturing/Distribution and E-Commerce, background, a plus
