As the Senior Accountant, you will support all aspects of our business, with a focus on cash management, month-end close, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate also has a proven track record of collaborating with team members and cross-functional teams. This person must be efficient and keen on hitting deadlines with extraordinary time management skills and attention to detail. In addition, we are looking for a true innovator who is constantly searching for new ways to improve processes and promote efficiency.  This role is based in Los Angeles and reports to the Sr. Accounting Manager. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in cash management by owning the accounts payable process and ensure vendors are being paid timely
• Make recommendations based on analysis of present and historical financial information
• Own corporate credit card administration and credit card expense reporting
• Review NetSuite entries of Junior Accountants
• Prepare customized reports within NetSuite and analyze results
• Perform variance analyses and both prepare and review account reconciliations
• Assist with financial and tax audits
• Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process
• Provide input into the department’s goal-setting process
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
• Lead and assist with month-end and year-end close process
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Key Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience as an accounting professional; Degree in Accounting or related field  is preferred; CPA a plus
• Strong background in accounts payable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills that allow you to interact with all levels
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities 
• Exceptional organization skill, meticulous attention to detail and high sense of urgency
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic and flexibility to work extended hours during critical periods
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus
