Position Description

EVgo is seeking a highly motivated Senior Product/Business Development (BD) Analyst to join our team and provide analytical support to accelerate the building of EV charging infrastructure in the United States.   The primary responsibility of this individual is providing market analysis, strategic reviews, financial modeling and insights on industry trends, company performance and growth trajectory.

We are looking for a driven, results-oriented, self-starter that understands the advanced transportation ecosystem and has the skills to assess new market opportunities, conduct strategic assessments and develop business plans to position EVgo for continued growth. In addition, this individual is responsible for financial modeling and analysis to support market and strategy findings.

Responsibilities

• Member of internal EVgo analytical team providing support on strategy and analytics
• Create and maintain bottom up EV charging market projections alongside market share projections for EVgo
• Perform ongoing research and collection of market insights and industry trends, providing conclusions to Executive Team for risk/opportunity analysis
• Derive insights and present the results with recommendations to senior leadership to influence strategic decision making
• Balance long-term strategic thinking with near-term execution skills
• Work cross functionally with other EVgo leaders to understand business risks and opportunities across the country
• Apply strong analytical and Excel skills building financial models summarizing underpinning strategic, market and competitive landscape analyses
• Provide analytical support, including modeling, market assessment, competitive landscape and other research.

Required Skills/Experience:

• MBA Preferred, Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy.
• Proficiency with analytical tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• BI Tool experience preferred; geospatial experience (ArcGIS or qGIS) preferred.
• Working knowledge of the clean energy industry; with preferred experience in energy transportation. EV charging infrastructure is a plus but not required.
• Demonstrated success in the simultaneous delivery of multiple projects and programs.
• Advanced organizational and planning skills; top tier verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a passion for delivering results through teams, along with an ability to influence up and down an organization.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-growth company with more opportunities than time.
• Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams.
• Driven to prepare cohesive data driven; well formatted PowerPoint presentations.
