What does your typical day look like?

In the morning, I catch up on email and Slack notifications. I then check our JIRA board to see our team's overall progress for the Sprint and see if there are any new notes on my tickets. I then proceed to either solution (code) or QA tickets assigned to me, conferring with teammates as necessary along the way.

What makes someone successful on your team?

People who are driven to build and produce the best product in the market will fit in well here. Everyone within the company takes great pride in building not only a great product, but an environment where we can be comfortable and thrive in.

Tony

How do you empower your team to be more creative?

By encouraging the team to critically question every decision made. This empowers everyone to ask “is this the best way to deliver value?“. Being able to question everything allows us to stretch our imaginations around what might be possible, go beyond features we initially set out to build or experiment quickly with other ideas or implementations.

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

Currency has offered me the extraordinary opportunity to not only build my own career, but be part of growing our company from 20 employees to 200. Starting out in recruiting, I was able to help build all of the teams here at Currency and evolved my role into a strategic Chief of Staff. I appreciate the mobility Currency has given me and others.
