OVERVIEW

Signal Sciences is in search of a numbers and results driven Senior Accountant to help our Finance team properly record transactions and translate them into meaningful financial statements. You will handle all things accounting and support key business initiatives for the company to help scale the business. In addition, you will help solidify our monthly close process and take ownership of all related procedures. This position reports to the Senior Finance Manager and would require being able to work closely with the whole Signal Sciences team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts.
• Review monthly employee expenses submitted in Expensify for proper general ledger recording.
• Perform accounts payable duties including but not limited to: setting up and maintaining existing and new vendors, proper recording of invoices by coding expenditures to proper general ledger accounts in compliance with GAAP and obtaining necessary invoice payment approval.
• Post monthly journal entries and prepare the subsequent account reconciliations including but not limited to: cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accrued expenses and payroll.
• Assist in collections of past due customer invoices.
• Produce variance analysis to ensure accuracy of financials.
• Support the team in other ad-hoc, administrative tasks and projects as necessary.
