Bliss Point Media is a rapidly growing performance media advertising agency startup based in Santa Monica that combines world-class media capabilities with cutting-edge statistics and computer science. The Role

We are looking for a self-motivated, hard working, and detail-oriented individual to join the Finance and Operations team. This is a great position for someone who has some accounting or media experience and is looking for career growth and the opportunity to make a significant contribution to our team. You will be integral to ensuring that cash flows are managed effectively as we continue to exponentially scale the business. We pride ourselves on being small and scrappy do-it-yourselfers who work together to question the status quo of the business and provide exceptional value for our customers.

• Responsible for weekly and monthly linear and streaming accounts payable with tv and streaming networks

• Research variances in expected vs actual bills received

• Own accounts payable activities to ensure the accuracy of entries and timeliness of paying our vendors

• Work with media operations team to determine media completeness and and post-log version control

• Research projects related to media accounting and accounts payable

• Vendor outreach and relationship maintenance

• Assist with month-end close process

• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations and preparing and analyzing departmental spend

• Support accounting team and ensure backup documentation is properly filed and organized

Background & Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance preferred

• 2 years of relevant experience

• General accounting knowledge

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)

• Netsuite experience a plus

• Highly organized and detail oriented

• Accuracy and attention to details with thoughtfulness and thoroughness

• Exceptional decision-making skills

• Trustworthy and able to maintain discretion and privacy

• Support executive management team in ad-hoc projects in conjunction with senior accounting and finance staff

• Path to CPA

Bliss Point Media is a startup, and we’re looking for someone who finds that exciting rather than intimidating. We’re profitable and will offer a competitive total compensation package to the right candidates depending on skills and experience.

After 60 days of employment, you will be eligible for our uncapped vacation policy. After 6 months you would become eligible for the BPM 401K.
