Manager of Business Analytics and Reporting

Finance, Los Angeles, CA, Full-time

 

We are looking for a Manager of Business Analytics and Reporting is responsible for weekly and monthly internal reporting of business performance and key metrics to our Executive team and Board of Directors. The position is accountable for producing timely, accurate, and reliable reporting to all key stakeholders that will improve timeliness of decision making to help drive improved financial performance on a daily and weekly basis.  This position will work closely with the Executive team and across the organization to complete analysis and identify trends/insights to support the most critical business metrics. 

 

As part of the Finance organization at Thrive Market, you will be responsible for creating detailed analyses. We are looking for someone who can manage our daily, weekly and monthly KPI reporting.  Our team is a central component of the organization and as such requires the ability and desire to work on multiple projects at once with relatively little oversight. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly reporting package for Executive team and Board of Directors 
  • Develop, manage and consolidate daily and weekly dashboard/metric reporting
  • Manage quarterly and annual external reporting including Board Materials and any required Investor reporting
  • Manage reporting processes and system enhancements to ensure timely and accurate reporting 
  • Collaborate with Finance team members to produce weekly and monthly KPI reporting and updates on Company-wide Critical Initiatives
  • Assess current systems and processes used for financial reporting and Critical Initiative process to determine areas where improvement can be made and make recommendations for implementing new systems
  • Structure and run analyses on strategic projects and proposed CAPEX spend to determine visibility and ROI
  • Working with our Technology team, create automated reporting process utilizing data analytics tools (Tableau) and ERP system (NetSuite)

 

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of analytical or related business experience required 
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Finance or Accounting 
  • Must have excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Must have proven competence in data mining, analysis and modeling capabilities advanced Excel 
  • Must possess excellent analytical, conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills in addition to the ability to think creatively 
  • Extremely detail oriented, accurate and inquisitive
  • Work well in a team-oriented, dynamic and matrix environment 
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload
