Junior Staff Accountant
POSITION SUMMARY
Inspire’s Finance team is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant who is ambitious and motivated to join a fast growing and dynamic company. The Junior Staff Accountant will assist with performing daily operational accounting functions and support month-end close activities. We are looking for an individual who likes to work in a high performance culture, is passionate about startups and thrives in a fast changing environment where there is opportunity for rapid growth. We need a self-starter who possesses the highest degree of integrity and accountability in order to optimize our financial performance.
THE JUNIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT HAS TEN MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Post cash receipts and reconcile cash on a daily basis
- Perform bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Assist with booking and reconciling prepaid expenses
- Assist with month-end and year-end close entries including preparing account reconciliations
- Support external audit procedures as requested
- Assist with weekly commissions calculations and reporting
- Log and reconcile commodity trade agreements
- Support/Back up Accounts Payable process from new vendor onboarding, invoice and payment processing to reporting and reconciliation
- Back up people functions such as processing employee expense reimbursements in accordance with the Company Expense Policy
- Assist with other ad hoc projects

EXPERIENCE
- Must Have
- 1 year of Accounting experience
- Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree with a focus in Accounting
- Strong Excel skills
- Nice to Have
- Experience in NetSuite, Bill.com, and Expensify
