GTM Finance Manager
Job Summary
The Finance Manager influences management decisions and leads change to scale our processes and systems while supporting monthly close, monthly forecast, and the annual budget process. The Finance Manager partners across functions to execute on financial operations, help partners make strategic and informed business decisions, and prepare executive or board level presentation materials.
Roles and Responsibility (list in order of importance)
- Lead business partner engagement to create regular forecasts, annual operating budgets, and long-term strategic operating plans
- Creation and management of monthly/quarterly presentations for Executive management, Business Reviews, and the Board of Directors which will include key metrics, leading indicators and updates the performance of the business.
- Ensure disciplined financial management through real time review of expenses and resource allocations
- Manage business partner relationships in order to create regular forecasts, annual operating budgets, and long-term strategic operating plans
- Ensure timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
- Identify areas of financial risk and opportunity.
- Manage successful business case and ROI analysis to enable decision support, prioritization of initiatives, programs, or products
- Build and maintain complex, cross-functional analyses, and models to drive financial planning and inform business decisions.
- Support the build and maintenance of cash flow forecasting model.
- Influence business partner decisions through unit economics, sensitivity analysis, and business insights through cross-functional partnerships across the organization.
- Create efficiencies through FP&A systems and business processes enhancements (including Adaptive Insights) and seek opportunities to add value to business performance.
- Solve cross-functional policy and other issues through collaboration with peers in Investor Relations, Strategy, and Accounting to solve cross-functional issues and initiatives, and drive efficiencies
Required Qualifications
Years of Experience in Related Field:
- 5+ years of proven experience in a finance, accounting, consulting, or related business function
- 2+ years of directly related experience in a similar capacity or area of expertise
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a business function such as accounting or finance
Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong technical, analytical, communication, and influencing skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Finance system proficiency (ERP, Planning, SaaS-based tools, Analytics and Programming)
Other:
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information: one on one, small groups, executive management, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Strong knowledge of financial planning and forecasting, financial accounting concepts, risk and controls standards and business process best practices
- Candidate must be comfortable working in the Pacific time zone
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of SaaS accounting principles and job-specific business metrics
- Experience managing Finance team as People Manager
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the attitude to deliver and think ahead
- Demonstrates initiative to drive things forward and be a proactive contributor
- Ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment
- Enjoys building models of business metrics to financial measures
- Experience with full P&L modeling
- MBA or advanced business degree
