The Financial Analyst is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and analysis of the budget; while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments and goals of the organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager in collaborating with Leads, Managers, Directors, and Producers to establish budget requirements.

  • Connect with External Project Managers to align budget expectations

  • Create an effective tracking system for easily digested review.

  • Review budget requests and contracts and submit for approval.

  • Correct budgetary discrepancies.

  • Track and facilitate intercompany recharges.

  • Have a great understanding of the organizations budget structure and allocation codes.

  • Run monthly budget performance reports for projects and distribute them to project manager and Business Director.

  • Track timely payments of vendors.

  • Prepare, maintain and audit comprehensive fiscal reports and spreadsheets.

  • Evaluate operation procedures and processes.

  • Develop workflows to increase production and revenue.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding and experience with financial planning concepts including variance analysis, capacity/utilization and ROI.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, flexible environment with minimal supervision in order to prioritize and meet project deadlines.

  • Must possess a high degree of attention to detail and organization.

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 2-4 years of industry experience in a product development environment.

  • Knowledge of MS Excel (specifically, advanced formulas, pivot tables and charts).

  • Knowledge of the Paris & SAP Systems preferred.

  • Prior experience working with large development teams.

  • Previous internal team production experience required.

  • Gaming and interactive entertainment experience preferred.

  • Four year undergraduate college degree or equivalent skill set.
