The Finance Operations Manager is responsible for implementation and ongoing maintenance of Procore financial business systems, which includes design, configuration, training, reporting, support, and process improvement initiatives. You will work with Finance team leaders and cross-functionally across other business Procore business units to ensure the systems are functioning as expected and identify areas of improvement. You will manage a team of system owners and ensure they maintain documentation and a systems-minded approach to solving problems. You will help develop a roadmap of systems implementation and upgrades and recommend solutions for ongoing problems.

Main responsibilities:

  • Identify, design, and oversee the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiencies
  • Ensure all financial systems work together seamlessly and develop best practices for change management
  • Work closely with finance users to understand and solve complex problems
  • Manage and oversee projects and tasks owned by Business Systems Analysts, ensuring changes are well-documented and approved
  • Evaluate all changes to systems with SOX compliance in mind
  • Ensure integrations between systems are working as expected and resolve any errors; design & oversee build of new integrations as needed
  • Communication and resolution of planned or unplanned system downtime
  • Work with data team to provide relevant requested data for data warehouse with the business relevance & function
  • Establish and implement best practices with regards to system maintenance, security, release management, improvements, data integrity, duplicates, backups, etc.

Desired Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience managing business systems such as Zuora, Concur, Intacct or Netsuite, Obero or Xactly, Blackline; familiarity with Salesforce & Workday is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks and communicate and deliver on commitments
  • Manage and develop the skills of a team to ensure clear communication and organization
  • Ability to plan ahead to foster a proactive team environment, instead of reactive
  • Experience with a ticket/task tracking system (JIRA or equivalent)
  • Experience with data management, transformation, cleaning, and de-duplication
  • Experience with 3rd party SaaS application integration, ongoing maintenance, & support
  • Ability to triage issues as they come in and escalate where necessary
  • Ability to consider the end-to-end process and advise on downstream effects of changes
  • Ability to interact with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines and work well with all levels of management but also able to work independently to resolve issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a pleasant, supportive, and customer-focused personality and the ability to work across all levels in an organization
