We are helping millions save when they shop online, and we're hiring! We are actively seeking a Director of Tax to join the Operations Team in our Los Angeles office.
About The Role:
We are seeking a proven leader with a combination of Big 4 and corporate tax experience to serve as the Director of Tax in a dynamic and high growth organization. This role will report directly to the SVP of Finance and work closely with accounting, legal, and operations to manage all tax projects, including new product development and international expansion.
What You’ll Do:
As a Director of Tax at Honey, you will:
- Manage, prepare, and review:
- Federal, state and foreign income tax returns
- Gross receipts returns and other non-income tax returns
- Quarterly estimated tax payments
- Annual tax provision calculation
- VAT payments
- Research and identify tax credits
- R&D tax credit process
- International expansion
About You:
- 7-10 years of combined Big 4 and corporate tax experience
- Strong understanding of federal and state corporate income tax laws
- Strong understanding of state apportionment methodologies
- Strong understanding of state nexus issues
- International tax (including GILTI and FDII) and expansion experience
- Ecommerce experience
- Growth stage experience
- Transfer pricing experience
- Stock-based compensation experience
- Experience managing external tax advisors
