About This Role

The Accounting and Finance team strives to be an enabler of business at Apeel by ensuring that the company’s financial position is accurately reported and that we have a solid financial plan, adequate capital, and a financial strategy focused on driving long-term stakeholder value. We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to manage financial, treasury, global risk, capitalization, and other corporate projects and initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in analyzing, developing, organizing, and managing various financial processes, such as equity, debt, equipment leases, tenant improvements, facilities leases, and financial partner selection
• Maintain responsibility for all aspects of global risk management
• Manage and maintain capitalization, such as cap tables for all entities, ISO/NSO stock options, RSUs, option exercises, warrants, and other equity instruments
• Develop capital (equity and debt) scenario analyses 
• Manage external 409A valuation processes
• Maintain a “process-ready” data room
• Work cross-functionally with FP&A and other teams to develop various partner communications
• Assist with corporate governance and board hygiene
• Develop and manage global banking and credit relationships, global entity strategy, and global treasury strategy 
• Develop and manage variable compensation plans

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field
• At least 8 years of hands-on corporate finance experience within a global, hyper-growth company
• Venture capital-backed experience (preferred)
• Big 4 accounting experience (preferred)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure (preferred)
• IPO or public company experience (preferred)
• Fluency in Spanish (preferred)
• Demonstrated progression in responsibility and role within your career
