About the Job.
In this role, you will work directly with both our Head of Corporate Development and our CEO to position Gimbal in a way that will maximize engagement with prospective acquisition targets. You will be heavily involved in every facet of the sourcing, diligence, qualification, and execution cycle.
What you’ll be doing:
Reaching out to acquisition targets in the media, location, and technology sector to determine mutual fit with Gimbal
Following up with emails, calls, and meetings to move prospects along and cultivate the relationship
Qualifying leads and performing diligence on prospects to determine financial viability, including reviewing of financial statements and cap tables
Managing data flow and absorbing large amounts of information on prospects to evaluate whether a prospect has the propensity to close a transaction
Assisting with any capital transactions needed to finance acquisitions
Producing progress reports for directors to monitor process and assist where necessary
Executing on NDAs and other legal documents
Interfacing regularly with other executives of the company including the President, CFO, CRO, COO, and Controller

What you have:
2-5 years prior work experience in a client-facing business development role
Proven M&A process knowledge, including experience performing cold outreach
Strong understanding of corporate finance and capital markets
Experience presenting to C-level executives at companies/investment funds
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting
Experience in media technology industry a plus
