We are currently looking for a Controller to join our team. In this role you will work closely with other senior leaders to drive growth and seek improvements in operational processes with responsibility for overseeing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, payroll, inventory accounts, fixed assets and revenue recognition.

You will also:

• Create and post journal entries; manage month-end close process and produce financial statements on a timely basis 
• Prepare monthly financial statements and leadership reporting/analysis; provide regular financial analysis of operating results (against budget, actuals, and normal trends in the business)
• Analyze cash flow and monitor expenses to ensure compliance with budgets
• Manage year-end audit process with external auditors
• Establish, implement, and monitor appropriate internal controls and policies to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other statutory requirements
• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, inventory accounts, fixed assets and revenue recognition
• Lead accounting staff to execute department functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines
• Provide work papers to assist outside tax preparer in the filing of state and federal tax returns; ensure accounting, tax and other financial reports required by regulatory agencies, financial institutions and others are completed and submitted as scheduled
• Assist in the preparation of financial operating reports, such as annual plans and monthly forecasts
• Establish, implement, and monitor appropriate internal controls and policies to ensure protection of the company's assets
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to comply with GAAP, tax and other requirements; maintain and improve accounting systems and procedures in response to regulatory changes that affect accounting standards
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance with US GAAP and document decisions
• Monitor debt levels and compliance with covenants
• Collaborate with others to develop, establish and monitor an effective system of accounting controls; plan and implement process improvements
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key business partners (banks, auditors, etc.)
• Maintain company records, including tax filings, client records, vendor agreements

 And will have the following qualifications:

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting – MBA and/or CPA preferred
• 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience with large or mid-sized companies
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting for foreign currency transactions
• Knowledge of commonly used ERP systems and accounting software; experience with NetSuite a plus
• Strong financial analysis skills and ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external business partners
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop staff
• Experience in Internet, e-commerce, technology environment preferred
• Must be willing to be hands-on and jump in when needed
