The Role:

The SnackNation team is on a mission to put the best brands in front of their target audience at the right place, at the right time. To do that, we’re looking to hire a passionate, experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to add to our rockstar Accounting team. We are a fun office with great perks located in Culver City.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist must be technologically savvy (able to work in numerous software programs at once, go between them smoothly, and understand how they all interact together), must be willing to call customers who are behind on payments, and should be innovative in coming up with better solutions for procedures we have now. This is a *hands on* role doing a lot of tasks – large and small – that requires excellent attention to detail and a willingness to jump on any problem to get a job done.

What You'll Do:

• Manage and maintain Accounts Receivable for SnackNation
• Contact customers about missed payments, & keep status reports clean
• Review account set up to ensure accuracy
• Respond to customer inquiries, following up on the documentation requests, refunds, etc
• Record and post daily cash receipts (checks, credit cards; ACH, and wires)
• Process remote deposits and lockbox receipts
• Follow up on returns, chargebacks, and declined credit card activity
• Process refunds and credits in Zuora
• Take ownership of customer issues and follow problems through to resolution
• Work with a collection agency as necessary on delinquent accounts
• Process standalone invoices for placement fees contracts and other custom arrangements outside Zuora
• Assist in month-end and year-end close, reconciling two systems (Zuora and Netsuite) and troubleshoot discrepancies
• Process month end close Journal Entries
• Provide support for audit requests
• Work with our IT team on automation implementations and other projects as needed
• Other duties and assignments as needed to support the team

Who You Are:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years recently doing accounts receivable
• Experience with Netsuite, Zendesk, and/or Zuora a BIG PLUS!
• Experience required working with an ERP and multiple online banking portals
• Advanced computer skills, especially Excel
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with customers and people at all levels across the organization
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work without supervision
• Team player with positive attitude.
• Accounting degree
