The Accounts Payable Manager has the following core responsibilities
- AP Workflow Design
- Accurate Invoice Processing & Compliance
- Travel and Entertainment Workflow Design
- Vendor Relations
AP Workflow Design (30%)
- Review current systems, tools and workflows
- Interview key stakeholders and incorporate their needs into the workflow design
- Identify points of inefficiency, risk and where process could be more aligned with our core values (i.e. sustainable paperless solution)
- Understand and maintain standards of control compliance
Accurate Invoice Processing (30%)
- Roll out invoice approval methodology across business, and maintain standard of accuracy
- Ensure appropriate expense coding and communicate with partners to educate and solve long term
- Communicate vendor terms and sweetgreen payment preferences to accounting team
- Import and post all store cost of goods sold (COGS) electronic invoices daily
Travel and Entertainment Workflow Design (20%)
- Explore opportunities to improve efficiency and clarity of Concur expense process
- Create a Concur on-boarding guide/FAQ for ease of use
- Encourage timely expense report submissions and approvals
- Analyze and report T&E expense information to accounting team for accrual purposes
Vendor + Internal Customer Relations (20%)
- Onboard new vendors to establish accounting relationship and also explain sweetgreen processes
- Work to expedite checks and resolve vendor disputes
- Check vendor statements weekly and make appropriate adjustments
- Encourage electronic payment set-up to promote a paperless environment
- Educate internal customers on invoicing process, approvals, and standard payment terms

Desired Experience
- 7+ years of accounts payable experience; ideally in a multi-unit restaurant or retail company
- 3+ years leading an accounts payable department ideally with at least one direct report
- Experience in system implementations (accounts payable, invoice automation, travel & expense)
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business preferred
