(Senior) Accounting Manager - AP/AR
Greenfly is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for a rising star with a can-do attitude, outstanding organizational skills, and keen attention to detail. The ideal Accounting Manager candidate will have experience with managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections. They will also be familiar with revenue and expense reporting as it relates to recurring subscription sales. If you love learning new things and enjoy optimizing processes, you are an ideal candidate.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to, processing vendor and client invoices, confirming the coding of invoices are correct, and confirming the payments applied to each invoice are correct. There are multiple vendors for AP and dozens of receivables accounts that need to be closed in a timely manner for month-end.
Requirements
- Own the full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable process
- Generate invoices and monitor customer account balances and collections
- Ensure that late accounts receive a statement, and assist the sales team with follow-up
- Track late payments and escalate to management when necessary
- Code and process all AP invoices
- Manage vendor details - W-9s, contracts, banking information, etc.
- Conduct a weekly check and ACH payment runs
- Complete credit card reconciliation and T&E expense reimbursement
- Review invoices for appropriateness and route for approval via Bill.com for approval
- Documenting internal controls surrounding the tasks performed to ensure completion of the close checklist
- Research and resolve account discrepancies
- Manage the collections process for all past due accounts
- Assist all departments by providing monthly budgets comparison to actuals
- Improve and optimize existing policies and procedures to create more efficient AP/AR/collections and expense reimbursement processes across the organization
- Other projects as assigned
You Have
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting or Finance
- At least 4-5 years of accounting experience, including AP, AR and collections
- Strong desire to work and learn in a high-growth, startup environment
- An ownership mentality and propensity to take responsibility for key outcomes
- Experience with Quickbooks, Expensify, Bill.com and/or similar accounting software
- Experience working with Salesforce for order forms and invoicing
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills
- Proficient knowledge of GAAP and recent accounting trends
- Strong operational experience with a focus on process improvement and documentation
- Positive, get-it-done attitude
- Previous experience in a subscription revenue setting: software, media or similar
