Who We’re Looking For

We are searching for an Accounting Manager who will partner with our Controller to scale the finance function in a high-growth, B2B SaaS enterprise. How We’ll Support You

You will have a hands-on Controller who is willing to mentor and partner with you to build a world-class finance organization. We currently also have an outsourced bookkeeper who is at your disposal for any day-to-day tasks. This position also brings access to talent in other departments who are always ready to help solve problems and grow with you. Finally, this position comes with as much exposure to senior management as you desire; we’d love for you to go beyond just making sure the numbers are solid and actually present insights about our business to your peers and also our C-Level executives including the Founder & CEO. 

Duties in Detail

  • Own and drive all aspects of Order-to-Cash accounting operations including contract reconciliation between systems and sales commissions calculations on a timely basis.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including preparing and issuing invoices, receiving checks, making deposits, applying the correct payments to customer accounts, following up on and forecasting collection payments, as well as reconciling month-end.
  • Manage the areas of corporate accounting, including month-end close, monthly analysis, reconciliations of key balance sheet items, P&L, accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, banking reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable so invoices and other payments are properly processed in the weekly payment cycle.
  • Supervise payroll and stock administration including verifying the completeness and accuracy of all variable compensation plans.
  • Perform a variety of professional level accounting duties in recording and reporting financial transactions and preparing financial reports and statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP).
  • Work with the business executives to resolve any issues and follow up on day-to-day accounting / financial reporting requests.
  • Identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement process improvements.
  • Complete the implementation of NetSuite ERP application including overseeing data migration and reconciliation activities, and setting up desktop procedures and checklists for performing the entire month-end close.
  • Assist with and/or complete special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting (Big 4 experience preferred), including 2+ years at a high-growth technology company.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • Experience with and knack for building accounting reconciliation workpapers to ensure completeness, existence, and accuracy of financial data flowing between various systems.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge or an aptitude for enhancing this skill-set (including Index-Matching, v/x-Lookups, SUMIFs and similar formulas).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with co-workers and management.
  • Very good time management skills: planning, organization, prioritization, and execution.
  • Sound analytical thinking; strong problem identification and independent resolution skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and closing the books in NetSuite is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of B2B SaaS business models and/or start-up environment experience is a plus.
