About FightCamp

FightCamp’s goal is to create the ultimate at-home workout experience for busy professionals committed to their fitness goals. In order to do so, FightCamp offers interactive boxing workouts. Workout output is tracked by motion trackers that calculate the speed and the amount of punches thrown during a workout. Since its launched in February 2018, FightCamp’s revenues have doubled every month. FightCamp is funded by Y Combinator.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and year-end close processes including:
• Accounting in accordance with GAAP.
• Reconciling all balance sheet accounts.
• Revenue and COGS
• Ensuring accuracy and proper timing of expense recording
• Posting journal entries.
• Margin analysis.
• Generating and enhancing reporting including Financial Statements and other key reporting (sub-ledgers, bank statements, inventory reporting).
• Analyzing and explaining variances to prior periods and budgets.
• Accounting and control over inventory to ensure accuracy, including reserves, roll-forward of activity, physical counts, and working with partners to resolve issues.
• Develop and implement process improvements and procedures to achieve efficiencies.
• Implement internal controls to mitigate the risk of misstatement or fraud.
• Mentor and develop a team of accountants; hire and train new talent as necessary.
• Provide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.
• Assist with the preparation of documents for periodic audits or due diligence reviews.
• Point person working in coordination with the 3rd party Tax Accountants covering state sales and use taxes, year end tax returns and other required filings / registrations.
• Assist with creation of budgets, and work with other Team Leads to ensure adherence with budgets.
• Assist with Forecasting, Planning and Analysis, as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• Certified Public Accounting (CPA) required.
• 5+ years of general accounting experience.
• 2+ years of management experience.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Quickbooks skills required.
• CPG experience is preferred (understands cost of goods sold, inventory, etc.)
• Big 4 and or high growth startup/e-commerce experience is highly desired.
• Extremely self-sufficient; demonstrated history of owning and building processes, procedures in fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.
