RingDNA is seeking an Accounting Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our Finance department. This is a new position on our team and will closely support our Controller to continue building our accounting function as we scale.

As an Accounting Manager at RingDNA, you will report to the Controller and have direct exposure to other RingDNA departments, including Sales, Customer Success, and Human Resources. We are looking for a professional with the resourcefulness to tackle any assignment, think through it, and readily grasp the most efficient and effective way to get to the goal. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who has a well-rounded accounting background and is hardworking, self-directed, and willing to embrace a culture of scaling yourself and your team.

What You'll Do 

  • Responsible for supporting the Finance team in the areas of corporate accounting, including month-end close, monthly analysis, reconciliations of key balance sheet items, P&L, accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, banking reconciliations.
  • Perform a variety of professional level accounting duties in recording and reporting financial transactions and preparing financial reports and statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP)
  • Complete and/or assist with period-end reports, adhering month end internal deadlines.
  • Assist in improving the month end process, for a faster turnaround.
  • Plan, develop, and implement effective accounting strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Prepare monthly analysis and cleanup of receivables, accruals, and other accounts. Research and prepare adjusting journal entries as required.
  • Reconcile and analyze key balance sheet and income statement accounts, including prepaid expenses, accruals, unbilled AR, deferred revenue, and equity.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including preparing and issuing invoices, receiving checks, making deposits, applying the correct payments to customer accounts, following up on and forecasting collection payments, as well as reconciling month-end.
  • Manage accounts payable so invoices and other payments are properly processed in the weekly payment cycle.
  • Work with the business executives to resolve any issues and follow up on day-to-day accounting requests.
  • Identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement process improvements.
  • Perform all sales commissions calculations and accounting for deferred costs of obtaining contracts on a near real-time basis.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting, tax working papers, and budget analysis.
  • Coordinate weekly invoice and other payments, for central processing.
  • Assist with and/or complete special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Who You Are 

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting (Big 4 experience preferred), including 2+ years at a high-growth technology company
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA preferred)
  • Solid understanding and experience of basic debits and credits including prepaid expenses, accruals, receivables, deferred revenue, and equity
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail is of the utmost importance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with co-workers and management
  • Strong work ethic, quick learner; interested in learning new things
  • Very good time management skills: planning, organization, prioritization, and execution
  • Sound analytical thinking; strong problem identification and independent resolution skills
  • Able to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Knowledge of SaaS business models and/or start-up environment experience is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and NetSuite is highly desirable
