Assist the Finance Transformation Team in data visualization, dashboard development using Tableau, data analysis, and collaboration with stakeholders to enhance business insights and processes.

About the Transformation Team: The transformation team was provides a formal governance structure to ensure coordination between the significant and complex projects of the Finance organization. Further, the Transformation Team is focused on value creation for our internal and external stakeholders. We accomplish this through our focus on building business partnerships across the broader finance and business teams as we develop leaders in our team. Projects for the transformation team are expected to include the following:
- Process improvement, automation, and global standardization.
- Systems implementation, upgrade, or improvement.
- Development and integration of data analytics for use in business performance analysis.
- Special projects, including participation in business development activities as needed or assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs, and gather functional and technical requirements for dashboarding.
- In collaboration with IT and business teams, assist in data analysis to identify relevant data sources, understand data structure, and perform potential data cleaning and transformations.
- Design and develop interactive and visually appealing Tableau dashboards, adhering to data visualization best practices and company standards.
- Conduct thorough testing of dashboards to ensure data accuracy, functionality, and usability.
- Document the dashboard development process, including data sources, calculations, dashboard logic, and user instructions.
- Assist with the deployment of dashboards to Tableau Server (or equivalent platform) and provide post-launch support, including troubleshooting and user guidance.
- Contribute ideas and insights to brainstorming sessions aimed at driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Assist worldwide Finance and business teams with completion of tasks as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in digital technology, strategy, and operations.
- Basic understanding of data analysis concepts, data visualization principles, and relational databases.
- Prior experience with Tableau, even through coursework or personal projects.
- Basic SQL knowledge is preferred.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts.
- Experience working with different data sources (e.g., databases, spreadsheets, APIs).
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good teamwork and influencing skills.
- Can commit to at least a 12-week internship.
- Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California, for the duration of the internship.
