About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Technology Leader to own and evolve our Finance and People tech stack. This role will drive the architecture, optimization, and roadmap of key systems including NetSuite, Chargebee, HiBob, and adjacent tools used across Finance, People Operations, Payroll, Procurement, and Compliance.

You will be responsible for partnering with Finance, HR, RevOps, Legal, and Business Systems teams to ensure that our internal platforms are scalable, automated, and aligned with our evolving business needs.

What You'll Do
  • Own the end-to-end technology stack for Finance (ERP, billing, procurement) and People Ops (HRIS, onboarding, compliance)
  • Serve as strategic partner to Finance and People leadership, translating business goals into scalable system architecture and automation
  • Lead implementation, customization, and optimization efforts for NetSuite, Chargebee, HiBob, and connected tools (e.g., payroll, compliance, procurement)
  • Manage system integrations, workflows, and data pipelines across platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Adyen, cPanel, etc.)
  • Drive process automation across invoicing, spend management, headcount tracking, audits, and reporting
  • Partner with stakeholders to define and prioritize roadmaps, business requirements, and future-state workflows
  • Ensure platform data integrity, security, and compliance with controls such as SOC2, GDPR, and SOX
  • Lead vendor relationships, manage implementation partners, and own budget planning for the function
  • Monitor platform health, resolve incidents, and manage enhancements in a scalable way
 About You

You are a strategic yet hands-on technology leader who thrives at the intersection of systems, process, and business strategy. You bring deep expertise in scaling Finance and People technology ecosystems, with proven experience owning and optimizing platforms such as NetSuite, Chargebee, and HiBob. You’re as comfortable discussing ERP architecture and compliance controls as you are mapping workflows or designing automation to eliminate manual effort.

You excel at translating complex business needs into scalable, integrated solutions—partnering cross-functionally with Finance, HR, RevOps, and Legal to ensure tools and processes evolve with the company. You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and data-driven, with a track record of leading platform transformations, driving automation across the business, and ensuring governance and data integrity at scale. Above all, you’re passionate about building connected, efficient systems that empower teams to focus on high-value work and support ROLLER’s continued growth.

  • 8+ years of experience in Business Systems, IT, or Enterprise Applications, with 3+ years in a leadership or platform owner role
  • Deep expertise with NetSuite ERP (financials, reporting, workflows)
  • Hands-on experience with Chargebee, Zuora, or similar subscription billing systems
  • Proven ability to lead billing system re-platforming — from planning and vendor selection to implementation and go-live support, with a focus on scalability, accuracy, and automation
  • Proven understanding of HRIS platforms, preferably HiBob, and workflows across employee lifecycle
  • Experience designing or managing integrations using APIs, middleware (e.g., Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi), or native syncs
  • Strong ability to gather and translate complex business requirements into scalable systems design
  • Familiarity with audit and compliance standards impacting Finance and People data (SOC2, GDPR, ISO)
  • Excellent project management skills and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce, Stripe, Gusto, Ironclad, Ramp, or similar adjacent platforms
  • Experience supporting IPO readiness, audit automation, or FP&A systems
  • Background in SaaS, B2B, or subscription-based business models
  • Familiarity with BI and reporting tools like Looker, Tableau, or Snowflake
Perks!
  • You'll get to work on a category-leading product that customers love in a fun, high-growth industry! Check our Capterra and G2 reviews.
  • Paid leave for vacation, illness, and observed holidays.
  • 4 ROLLER Recharge days per year (When we hit our goals each quarter, we take a well-earned day off together to relax, recharge, and celebrate our wins).
  • Engage in our 'Vibe Tribe' - led by our team members; you can contribute to company-wide initiatives directly. Regular events and social activities, fundraising & cause-related campaigns...you name it. We're willing to make it happen!

  • 16 weeks paid Parental Leave for primary carers and 4 weeks paid Parental Leave for secondary carers.
  • 401(k) plan with up to a 5% match.
  • Fully paid medical insurance.
  • Work with a driven, fun, and switched-on team that likes to raise the bar in all we do!
  • Individual learning & development budget plus genuine career growth opportunities as we continue to expand!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
