  • Extra Protection & Perks: Through discounted group programs, such as legal services, home & auto insurance, pet insurance, and ID theft protection for life’s unexpected moments.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Reporting

  • Own the budgeting and forecasting process, including preparation of the annual budget and maintenance of rolling forecasts.
  • Manage the invoicing process end to end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Analyze run rates, project costing, and margin performance to inform operational and leadership decisions.
  • Prepare financial reporting packages and respond to ad hoc analysis requests from leadership and cross-functional teams.

Finance Transformation & Systems Design

  • Lead a company-wide finance transformation initiative, consolidating multiple systems into a single, unified financial platform.
  • Design and implement the financial systems, controls, and standard operating procedures that will define how the finance function runs.
  • Build scalable financial structures and reporting frameworks that support the company's growth trajectory.
  • Identify and drive process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy across financial operations.

Account & Cross-Functional Support

  • Manage the financial relationship for a designated entity/group of clients, including billing, cost tracking, and reporting.
  • Partner with operations and project teams on client engagements, providing financial oversight to help ensure projects track correctly from a cost standpoint.
  • Support project-based and on-site engagements requiring financial oversight, cost tracking, and reporting.
  • Partner with other business units and support cross-selling initiatives across service lines.

Strategic Partnership & Leadership Support

  • Serve as a key financial partner to senior leadership, providing insight that directly informs business decisions.
  • Participate in leadership and planning discussions, contributing financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Support finance initiatives as the company's operations and footprint expand.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a finance management role, ideally within real estate services, construction, facilities management, or a related project-based business.
  • Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and invoicing at a company or business-unit level.
  • Demonstrated experience designing or improving financial systems, processes, and controls, rather than only operating within existing ones.
  • Comfort operating in a growth-stage, evolving environment with limited existing infrastructure — building the playbook, not just following it.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience leading or supporting financial system implementations or migrations.
  • CPA, CMA, or related certification.
  • Familiarity with construction, commissioning, or facilities management operations.
  • Experience supporting global or multi-entity finance operations.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
