Abnormal AI is looking for a Finance Manager, G&A to join our FP&A team and partner closely with leaders across Legal, People, IT, Finance, and other G&A functions. You’ll help scale the financial operating model for these teams, serving as both a strategic thought partner and executional anchor as we continue to grow. This is a builder’s role—ideal for someone who loves diving into the details, shaping the process from the ground up, and influencing decisions through storytelling with data.
You’ll work alongside our Corporate Finance Leader in a role that blends FP&A rigor with operational pragmatism. Your insights will inform critical headcount and investment decisions, while your models and reporting will shape how we run the business. Success in this role requires comfort with iteration, a bias toward action, and a willingness to refine as you go.
What you will do- Act as a finance business partner to G&A leaders, supporting budget creation, headcount planning, forecasting, and monthly close deliverables
- Partner with Legal, People, IT, and Finance to understand their strategic goals—and help them model scenarios, evaluate trade-offs, and make better decisions faster
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives for executive stakeholders; your work should not only inform but persuade
- Create and iterate on key dashboards and performance metrics, with an eye toward automation and scalability
- Support annual and quarterly planning cycles, collaborating cross-functionally with HR, Systems, and the broader Finance team
- Embrace feedback and rework as part of the process—especially when refining work for our CPO, CIO, and CLO.
- Champion an AI-enabled finance workflow—leveraging tools and experimenting with new methods to drive speed and clarity
- Foster a culture of no ego, just impact, prioritizing transparency, operational excellence, and clarity over perfection
- 8+ years of FP&A experience, with a strong track record supporting G&A or corporate functions
- Proven ability to operate independently in lean, high-growth environments—this is a build + do role
- Strong financial acumen across budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and executive reporting
- Excellent stakeholder management skills—able to collaborate across Legal, People, IT, and Finance with ease and empathy
- Experience translating data into decision-ready narratives and making financial concepts digestible for non-finance leaders
- Strong modeling and systems skills (Excel, Google Sheets; bonus: Pigment, Workday Adaptive, Looker, etc.)
- A mindset of curiosity, humility, and iteration—you seek feedback, ask smart questions, and adapt quickly
- Comfortable with remote work norms—especially async communication, clarity in updates, and proactive follow-through
- Interest or experience in applying AI tools to streamline finance workflows
- Passion for AI in finance and a track record of identifying ways to reduce manual work through tooling
