The Finance Manager will oversee financial processes, prepare statements, conduct analysis, manage outsourced services, and support regulatory reporting while driving improvements and collaborating with management.
Job Duties:
1. Partnering up with finance team to prepare and/or review assigned month end and quarter end close book close processes, own the Company’s parallel books of accounts maintained in line with IFRS/US GAAP and maintain appropriate reconciliations and valid support for all adjustments, and periodically prepare, update, and review and update major accounting policies and policies and accounting and estimates, and adjust financial statements based on reconciliation results.
2. Responsible for preparation and coordination of financial statements, regulatory reporting, business forecasts (partnering with FP&A) and other related information for external use (audit, submission to regulators, etc.
3. Work closely with management team, as a business partner from finance function, prepare for regular leadership reviews.
4. Provide deep dive analysis and create financial models for decision making. Drive revenue initiatives with direct impact to the financial performance.
5. Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, dashboards and recommendation of actions for optimization
6. Acting as a contact point within the company for financial and accounting queries and queries from regulatory authorities relating to the finance function of the firm on required basis.
7. Monitoring and overseeing the performance of outsourced services by outsourced service providers relating to the finance function, monitoring KPIs and SLAs.
8. Participating in critical projects, including the transitioning to new external vendors, integration, automation or enhancements.
Job requirements:
1. 6+ years’ experience as a finance professional at internet, ecommerce, bank, fin-tech, financial regulatory agency and/or professional service firm serving financial institution clients.
2. 5+ experience working in a regulated entity/environment.
3. A professional finance qualification, and membership of a recognised professional body, is a prerequisite (ACA, GCA, CMA, ACCA, or CPA with experience in project management).
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of business functions, with an emphasis on senior management and a track record of performing in a management role. Project management experience is desirable but not essential.
7. Excellent oral and written communication – fluency in English is a key requirement, mandarin is a plus for better collaboration with stakeholders
8. Capacity and commitment to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards and effective time management
9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment within a high growth business
10. Knowledge of accounting month-end book close process.
11. Knowledge in accounting software(Quickbook/Xero/Netsuite/Approvalmax).
