Job Description:

Summary
Under the responsibility of the Finance Director, the Finance Business Partner is responsible for supporting the Customer Logistics Director (DCL) in all areas of accounting and financial management. This individual is responsible for streamlining and continuously improving accounting functions and working to satisfy the client's reporting needs.

***REMOTE WORK FROM HOME***
Essential Functions

  • Support Central United States region, but can work eastern or central time zone hours
  • Responsible for internal month end close process including preparation of journal vouchers
  • Research and provide explanations of variances vs. forecast / business plan / prior year and ensure billing opportunities are captured
  • Prepare monthly forecast and annual budget for responsible scope of cost centers
  • Contribute on cross-functional teams to pricing proposals for new business opportunities
  • Participate in various miscellaneous projects as required

  • Be able to advise, make recommendations and make decisions related to financial and accounting aspects of the role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • High degree of initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint required)
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Master's degree preferred MBA
  • Four (4) years or more Accounting and/or Finance experience required
  • Four (4) years or more Transportation, Logistics, or equivalent industry preferred

Compensation Information:

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type:

Salaried

Minimum Pay Range:

$85,000.00

Maximum Pay Range:

$95,000.00
