ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Corporate FP&A team. As the Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Corporate FP&A Manager and our FP&A department by ensuring efficient coordination, effective communication, and timely completion of key deliverables. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. This position will also provide financial guidance, reporting, and analytical support to corporate departments along with companywide expenses.

COMPENSATION: $65,000 - $85,000/annually, with additional annual bonus potential

LOCATION: Remote (within the U.S.), with typical working hours aligning with the Pacific Time Zone (PST)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning & Forecasting

  • Extract and model financial information, analyze and provide meaningful insights to finance leadership and other business partners

  • Provide financial support to corporate departments including, but not limited to, financial modeling and analysis, variance reporting, and expense management

  • Prepare and analyze consolidated companywide expense reporting, including monthly variance analysis and reporting to finance leadership

  • Partner with manager to provide annual planning and subsequent forecast updates to business partners to achieve organizational objectives

  • Improve visibility, forecasting, and analysis of results and key metrics while advising finance leadership on insights and recommended actions

  • Deliver timely and robust planning content with meaningful insights

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare clear, accurate and in-depth financial analyses in support of monthly reporting packages, quarterly close materials, and other management reporting cycles

  • Prepare succinct and clear executive presentations that simplify complex topics, often with time sensitive deliverables

  • Ensure data integrity and deliver consistent and accurate reporting of finance data across the organization

  • Create documentation and improve standardization of streamlined planning and reporting templates and processes

  • Assist in procedures and reporting related to monthly/quarterly/annual close processes

Financial systems/modeling

  • Support ownership of Planful, the company’s financial planning system, and identify/implement opportunities for enhancing financial models, input templates, data hierarchies, etc.

  • Apply financial system updates, enhancements, and data integrations.

  • Compile information from various stakeholders in preparing deliverables that pull data from multiple sources

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Cultivate finance/business relationships, which includes learning the business, responding to evolving priorities and understanding the impacts of decisions on key stakeholders

  • Partner with manager to drive cross-functional alignment on finance processes and planning through collaboration across teams to improve data quality and speed of reporting

  • Actively seek opportunities to improve tools and processes

  • Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field required; MBA preferred

  • Certified Public Accountant license (CPA) or other relevant licenses/certification preferred

  • 2+ years of related work and/or public accounting experience required

  • Knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices; strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, both internal and external, and financial modeling required

  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, including understanding of a business P&L statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement required

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required; Experience with PowerQuery and PowerPivot preferred

  • Experience with planning/financial software such as Planful, Adaptive, or Anaplan required; experience with an ERP such as NetSuite, and/or data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.

  • Self-motivated and a self-starter continuously looking for process improvements.

  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining the broader, analytical perspective; and excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints
