We are currently looking for a Finance Analyst, Operations to be a key part of the finance team based Del Rey, CA. This position is expected to provide both financial and strategic business leadership and communicate effectively with senior management.  The position will report to the Plant Accounting Manager.

Job Description

  • Understand financial operations of the business and educate others inside and outside the Finance/Accounting group about the financial performance of their respective area
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly close, variance explanations; prepare Journal Entries, general ledger analysis, and other accounting related processes
  • Manage monthly cost center reviews – including presentation of financial results to senior management
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting expenses and financial results
  • Participate in quarterly plant based financial reviews and CAPEX meetings
  • Prepare Plant KPI’s and participate in KPI reviews
  • Manage Outside Grower process – including creating related purchase orders, preparing the daily pack-outs and payment calculations
  • Analyze key business statistics, trends and drivers, including inventory variances, bill of materials and standard costs
  • Utilize Oracle financial system information to develop and communicate value-added reporting tools
  • Provide assistance to operational group with ad-hoc analytical projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance or a related filed
  • Manufacturing or Agriculture industry preferred, but not required
  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Oracle or similar ERP system experience preferred
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting preferred
  • Ability to perform financial analysis, including ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and work quickly/accurately under pressure
  • Should be organized, goal oriented, energetic, team player and responsive
  • Flexibility to work weekends during season (Oct-Dec)

Pay Range: $72,000-$77,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
