Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is seeking a Field Sales Representative to join our team.  This individual promotes, coordinates and participates in sales and/or service activities among accounts or prospects in assigned Southeast territories for Ingram Book Company (IBC).  They also develop business with key accounts, as well as IBC wholesale programs and services leading to the growth of assigned accounts. The ideal candidate will have book industry experience and/or wholesale experience within the book industry and will be able to travel. 

We have a strong preference for this person to live in the greater Nashville area, however, we are also open to someone who is remote and lives in the Southeastern territories (TX, FL, Carolinas, GA).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or year for year experience
  • 3 years sales experience in book industry or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the book industry
  • Knowledge of the wholesale business
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grows assigned account base and market share for IBC.
  • Responsibilities include sales, planning and forecasting, and establishing/maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Analyzes customer needs and interests to identify, recommend, and expedite solutions to resolve customer problems and/or complaints.
  • Keeps customers informed about new services or products.
  • Provides Ingram with market information and actively participate in the development of new programs and services that meet the needs of the market.
  • Works with the other Ingram departments and business units to effectively manage and support assigned accounts.
  • Provides timely reporting of business operations including sales reports, expense reports, etc
  • Provide timely responses to both external and internal customers and contacts
  • Utilizes MS Office, particularly Excel and Teams, in daily work functions

Hiring Salary Range: $72,895k - $92,168k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
