Title: Field Representative – Energy Efficiency  

Location: Remote, but must be located in Los Angeles, California metro area  

 

ICF is seeking a Field Representative to support a retail and distributor engagement program in the Southern California area. The Field Representative will provide sales, account management, and field support for a retail engagement and appliance rebate marketing program. The full-time position will be home-based in the Los Angeles area and will require daily travel to meet with retailers, distributors and customers in the greater Southern California territory. 

 

Compensation: While the range below is broader, this position will offer a salary range in the 70-80K range, based upon % match to job description, location, etc., as determined by the hiring team.  Higher education and experience will not change this salary range.

The Field Representative will be responsible for maintaining the program marketing presence at retail and distributor facilities, helping retailers, distributors and customers understand utility rebate programs and rebates available for new energy efficient home appliances.  

 

Sales and/or retail experience with one or more of the following technologies is preferred: Home appliances, energy efficient products, residential HVAC, water heating and pool heating.

What you will be doing: 

  • Place and maintain program marketing materials in retail and distributor sites. 

  • Schedule and conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with retailers, and distributors daily.  

  • Educate stakeholders on the benefits of energy efficient and ENERGY STAR technologies. 

  • Log outreach and meeting activities in program CRM tool and/or smartphone app.  

  • Maintain strong ongoing communications with program participants to assess their needs and to receive feedback on their experience with the program. 

  • Conduct retail and distributor staff interviews, customer surveys, training and other program needs as appropriate. 

 

To be successful you must have:  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong outreach and communications abilities. 

  • Sales experience and the initiative to embrace continuous learning toward becoming an expert on the programs and technologies you represent. 

 

MUST HAVE Requirements: 

  • High school diploma  

  • 1+ year of experience with home appliance sales, retail sales, distributor sales, and customer service. 

  • Must possess a working vehicle and a valid driver’s license 

  • Excellent driving record and must be able to pass a motor vehicle check

  • Computer experience, with strong proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)   

  • Well-developed phone presence and high comfort level in initiating conversations 

  • Excellent written communications skills 

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently 

  • Strong organizational skills 

  • Detail-oriented 

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$60,663.00 - $103,128.00
