The Field Application Engineer (FAE) acts as a technical bridge between the company and its customers. The FAE provides pre- and post-sales technical support, works closely with the sales team to drive customer adoption, and ensures the successful integration and use of company products in customer applications.
This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
What you’ll doProvide technical support to customers during pre-sales and post-sales activities.
Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and training sessions to customer engineering teams.
Work with internal R&D teams to relay customer feedback and help guide product development.
Assist in the design-in process, ensuring successful integration of company products into customer systems.
Troubleshoot customer issues and provide timely solutions, including on-site support when necessary.
Support the sales team with technical expertise to help achieve revenue goals.
Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
2+ years of experience in an solutions engineering, DevOps, customer success engineering, and technical account manager role.
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with GPUs in compute environments a plus.
Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (Python, Bash, Terraform, etc.).
Excellent communication skills—comfortable working directly with technical and non-technical partner teams.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting systems to ensure reliability during onboarding.
Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor IDE) and a willingness to use them for faster problem solving.
