The Langham, Boston is one of the city’s most historic hotels and one of the most iconic luxury hotels in the US. You will working with a passionate & talented Food & Beverage team to drive excellence in guest experience and the overall success The Fed Restaurant by delivering high standards in guest experience & colleague engagement while in alignment with the culture and values of Langham Hospitality Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guest
- Answer the telephone/take reservations/manage reservations
- Stock Menus
- Responsible for handling guest requests.
- Provide maximum levels of guest service while maintaining Langham standards.
- Ensure restaurant is clean at closing.
- Receiving take-out orders both in person and on the phone and making sure guest receive their orders
- Assist server/busser/bartender as needed
- Additional duties not mentioned above may also be requested by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Must have related previous experience in similar environment.
- Use written (verbal/visual) sources of information, e.g. read reports, procedural documentation, and reference materials.
- Use non-verbal auditory sources of information, e.g. alarms.
- Use oral communication to perform work, e.g. answer telephone, and receive visitors.
- Stand; Reach; Grasp; Lift/Carry; Walk; Kneel; Squat/ Bend; Push/Pull.
- Make minor decisions requiring limited judgment, e.g. task sequencing, and Make general decisions in the absence of specific directions, e.g. prioritizing workload.
- React well and remain in control when working with high volume under pressure.
- Attend monthly department meeting and provided trainings.
- Must have full availability to work restaurant hours of operation; Evening availability
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Pay Range:
- $33.55 - $33.85 per hour
