Micron is seeking a Facilities Technology Transfer Engineer to join our world-class Engineering team in Boise, ID, USA. The Facilities Technology Transfer (FTT) Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., is responsible for providing facilities engineering planning and support for deployment of technology transfer from Micron’s Technology Development Fabs to Micron’s HVM facilities.
Engineering includes analysis of production tool utility requirements, analysis of new technology utility requirements and First of a Kind (FOAK) materials, processes and tools that may have impact on facilities, safety, and/or the environment. You will be expected to ensure engagement with manufacturing during technology transfer and help push out facilities requirements for upcoming technology transfers. The FTT Engineer will work independently with minimal direction, complete projects in a timely manner and achieve set objectives and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multiple diverse groups to develop and implement technology transfer plans, ensuring flawless integration of new facilities technology.
- Partner with Facilities Industrial and Planning Engineers to build templates and tool utility databases capable of providing a specific tool utility matrix for each technology transfer
- Continuously improve facility systems and processes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Provide program metrics to management (including but not limited to: utility load/capacity, Cost of Transition and Performance to Plan)
- Develop and apply information systems for communication with Management, technology development, receiving HVM and other partners for the transfer process
- Implement Continuous Improvement Practices (CIP) to develop applications for transfer efficiencies in data collection, analysis, reporting and transfer of information
- Provides engineering support to ensure safety is considered in all aspects of the technology transfer business process and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Proactively identify and resolve any technical issues that may arise during transfer
- Partner with TD and HVM collaborators to understand impacts of changes and identifies facilities requirements to support future process introduction
- Finishes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron EHS policies, safety and quality standards
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Data Science, Engineering, Semiconductor, or related field of study
- 3+ years of experience with facilities engineering
- Proven experience in facilities engineering and/or technology transfer
- Sophisticated PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, PPT, SAP, Autodesk and coding programs
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of data science methodologies: Data collection, preparation, modeling and reporting
- Experience or knowledge in one or more scripting, programming, and visualization tools (Python, Tableau, PowerBI, Microsoft Suite)
- 5+ Years of experience within the Semiconductor Industry.
