Atomica is a U.S.-based microfabrication foundry that builds advanced platforms for AI hardware, photonics, sensors, MEMS, and biotechnology devices. Atomica supports customers developing AI optical connectivity, AI optical source integration, photonic integration, thermal microstructures, physical AI sensors, MEMS optical control systems, and biotechnology microdevices with rapid prototyping and scalable production.

The Director of IT is a key member of the company’s senior management team, responsible for defining and executing a forward-looking information systems strategy that supports semiconductor manufacturing, revenue growth, operational scalability, and EBITDA improvement. The Director helps shape the company’s future by identifying how enterprise applications, data, automation, and aggressive adoption of AI can transform operations, accelerate customer delivery, expand capacity, and create lasting competitive advantage. The role oversees enterprise applications, software development, cybersecurity, infrastructure, governance, and digital transformation. The Director establishes the technology roadmap, leads AI-enabled development and productivity initiatives across the organization, and directs investment in scalable systems that position the company for its next stage of growth.

Objectives:
  • Develop and execute the information systems strategy, priorities, and budget.
  • Lead enterprise software development, application architecture, and AI-empowered development practices.
  • Lead cybersecurity governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Manage the information systems project portfolio and change governance.
  • Assign system ownership, backup coverage, and cross-training.
  • Provide executive reporting and coordinate with business departments.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, and department documentation.
  • Manage technology vendors and strategic technology partnerships.
Capabilities:
  • Enterprise software architecture and software development leadership
  • IT strategy and project management
  • Experience with cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise systems governance.
  • Microsoft Azure, React, MS.NET, C#, SQL, GitHub, and Power BI
  • AI-empowered software development and AI-driven problem solving
  • Digital transformation, manufacturing systems, and business process automation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading technology initiatives in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment.

Compensation:  
$155,000-175,000
