Company Operating RhythmAt Deepgram, we expect an AI-first mindset—AI use and comfort aren’t optional, they’re core to how we operate, innovate, and measure performance.
Every team member who works at Deepgram is expected to actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools, and even build your own into your everyday work. We measure how effectively AI is applied to deliver results, and consistent, creative use of the latest AI capabilities is key to success here. Candidates should be comfortable adopting new models and modes quickly, integrating AI into their workflows, and continuously pushing the boundaries of what these technologies can do.
Additionally, we move at the pace of AI. Change is rapid, and you can expect your day-to-day work to evolve just as quickly. This may not be the right role if you’re not excited to experiment, adapt, think on your feet, and learn constantly, or if you’re seeking something highly prescriptive with a traditional 9-to-5.
About This RoleDeepgram is building a new San Francisco presence centered around a purpose-built space for high-quality, in-person engagement with developers, customers, partners, and the broader voice AI community.
This is not a traditional office. The SF space is designed primarily as an event-led environment: a place for hands-on labs, technical showcases, workshops, research talks, recruiting events, and curated gatherings. Our goal is to make Deepgram feel meaningfully present in SF through a repeatable cadence of experiences that are technically credible, thoughtfully hosted, and consistently well-executed.
We’re hiring an Event Producer / Events Manager to be the operational backbone of that program. You will own the execution and day-to-day readiness of the venue, translating event concepts and goals (defined in partnership with DevRel, Product, Research, and Marketing) into seamless, high-quality events. This role is central to how Deepgram shows up in person — and ideal for someone who thrives on operational excellence, anticipates needs before they arise, and takes pride in making complex events feel effortless.
Location: While Deepgram is remote-first, this role requires frequent on-site presence in our San Francisco office.
What You’ll DoOwn the operational execution of Deepgram’s San Francisco event program, ensuring events are delivered reliably, professionally, and at a consistently high standard.
Translate defined event goals, formats, and content direction into well-run, on-time experiences, including hackathons, technical workshops, research talks, recruiting events, and executive sessions.
Serve as the day-to-day operator of the SF event space, ensuring the venue is consistently event-ready and can support multiple formats (presentations, labs, demos, showcases).
Build and manage event timelines, run-of-show documents, and production plans that allow complex events to run smoothly and predictably.
Coordinate all event logistics, including venue setup and teardown, AV and recording, catering, signage, speaker logistics, and attendee experience.
Act as the single-threaded owner during execution, making real-time decisions on event days and handling contingencies calmly and effectively.
Partner closely with Developer Relations, Engineering, Research, Product, and Marketing to operationalize event concepts, support technical programming, and ensure speakers and content are set up for success.
Manage relationships with external vendors and production partners, balancing high production quality with disciplined spend.
Create repeatable operational playbooks and processes so events can scale without reinventing logistics each time.
Support a small number of flagship or executive-facing moments (e.g., summits, research previews, board-adjacent events) as needed.
Run post-event operational retrospectives and incorporate learnings to continuously improve execution quality and reliability.
Content Coordination and Readiness
Event content at Deepgram is developed by our technical and product teams — including Developer Relations, Engineering, Research, Product, and invited external speakers.
In this role, you will not be expected to author technical content, build demos, or create workshops yourself. Instead, you will be responsible for program-managing content readiness: coordinating with content owners to ensure speakers are confirmed, materials are scoped appropriately, timelines are clear, and content is ready to be delivered in a live setting.
You will work with content owners to translate ideas into runnable events — helping ensure sessions are feasible, well-timed, and properly supported — while keeping execution and delivery on track.
Who You Are / Experience We’re Looking For7–10+ years of experience producing and operating live events, experiences, or programs, ideally in technology, startups, or adjacent ecosystems.
Demonstrated success running complex, multi-stakeholder events end-to-end, including logistics, AV, vendors, speakers, and on-site execution.
Experience working closely with technical teams, executives, or subject-matter experts to support credible, content-rich events (without necessarily owning content creation yourself).
Comfortable operating in environments where events support broader outcomes (learning, relationships, momentum), while ownership of those outcomes lives with partner teams
Strong project management and operational instincts; able to translate defined goals and event concepts into clear execution plans and reliably delivered outcomes.
Confident, polished presence when hosting external audiences, partners, and senior leaders.
Thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where priorities evolve and execution quality matters.
Prior experience supporting developer, research, or technical communities through events or programs.
Familiarity with startup or high-growth company environments.
Experience in developing educational or marketing content.
A strong metrics or analytics focus and a desire to quantifiably tie events to business outcomes.

*For candidates outside of the US, we use an Employer of Record model in many countries, which means benefits are administered locally and governed by country-specific regulations. Because of this, benefits will differ by region — in some cases international employees receive benefits US employees do not, and vice versa. As we scale, we will continue to evaluate where we can create more alignment, but a 1:1 global benefits structure is not always legally or operationally possible.
Backed by prominent investors including Y Combinator, Madrona, Tiger Global, Wing VC and NVIDIA, Deepgram has raised over $215M in total funding. If you're looking to work on cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact in the AI industry, we'd love to hear from you!
