Boeing Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S) seeks a high-performing Business Operations Specialist to support the Office of the Chief Information Digital Officer (CIDO). This is a highly visible, hands-on role for a strategic thinker who executes tactically. In this role, you will provide critical analytical support to the CIDO and the CIDO Chief of Staff. You will manage the "rhythm of the business," translating complex IDT&S data into actionable insights for the executive leadership team. This role requires high-speed problem solving and the ability to operate with total discretion in a fast-paced corporate environment.
This position will be based out of Seattle, WA and will be onsite.
Key role responsibilities:
  • Own the CIDO office "rhythm of the business": manage meeting preparation, action tracking, and follow-ups to drive accountability and results.
  • Effective Storytelling: Support development of polished presentations and briefings for senior leadership and all-hands meetings; translate complex technical content into clear narratives and visuals.
  • Performance Reporting: Maintain executive scorecards and reporting (OKRs, SLAs, program milestones, financial indicators); surface trends, risks, and recommended mitigations.
  • Strategic Alignment: Partner with IDT&S leadership to ensure all departments are aligned with the organizations 5-year strategy.
  • Event Planning: Support and execute logistics for in-person senior leader meetings and large employee events: agendas, pre-reads, materials, and onsite coordination in partnership with CIDO Executive Assistant
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify operational friction and implement scalable process improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as a bridge between the CIDO's office, IDT&S Leadership Team member offices, the business, and functional partners (HR, Finance, Communications, and Legal).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in business operations, business analysis, or strategy roles - ideally within a large enterprise or top-tier consulting firm.
  • Business Acumen: Ability understanding business strategy, IDT&S strategy, and operational performance to optimize organizational performance.
  • Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, cross-functional influence, and the ability to simplify complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders.
  • US-person
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Experience with developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Experience working across organizations and cross-functional groups to ensure project coordination, implementation, and completion
  • Experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data
  • Experience developing and reporting performance metrics
  • Experience leading projects

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
