Executive ‐ Production

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to oversee and ensure that all production activities at the given modules are completed in an efficient and timely manner by monitoring the process, solving any issues whilst providing leadership and motivation to the assigned teams and implementing plans to achieve the sectional SQDCM.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare internal daily and weekly plans to achieve the assigned production plan together with Executives/ group Leaders whilst monitoring the execution of same in order to achieve set targets.
- Monitor and take action on PTP issues, achieving same according to the plan. In the event issues prevail, coordinate with planning and relevant front end teams to re-plan the fall out quantities
- Coordinate with quality, IE and mechanical teams to ensure that critical quality/ technical issues are identified and resolved quickly to facilitate the achievement of targets whilst reacting to Andons and solving issues in a timely manner.
- Follow-up closely on output quantities/ size ratios whilst also following up with the respective departments on same in order to ensure size ratios are completed as per shipment plans.
- Facilitate the reconciliation process by carrying out 100% physical reconciliation of input, accessories and output of same whilst monitoring the consumption of elastic/ thread/ buttons and preparing style reconciliation reports to ensure all balances are completely flushed from the modules within 24 hours of shipment.
- Check production control boards on an hourly basis, drive same to achieve targets and monitor SQDCM charts, taking proactive steps to prevent future issues.
- Analyze/ study incoming styles and proactively coordinate with relevant teams to ensure effective style-change and achievement of efficiency ladder.
- Monitor line WIP levels, take steps to remove bottlenecks and maintain a balanced flow within same whilst coordinating with Cutting/ Stores to obtain cuts/ RM in the case of low WIP and resolving issues in the event of high line WIP levels.
Manage the direct headcount and skill levels of the assigned teams, co-ordinate with HR and IE teams to ensure the fulfilment of headcount and skill levels as define by the management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Degree/ National Diploma in Textile from a relevant institute
- 2 - 3 years of work experience in production/ work-study
- Sound technical knowledge and sewing skills will be considered an added advantage.
