Who We Are
Hi! We’re Thinkingbox, a brand experience agency shaping the future through craft and curiosity. Our team brings together unique perspectives in design, technology, and strategy that push the boundaries for our clients to create work that is innovative. We are a curious bunch that loves to think big, continuously learn, and create. We love our culture and the natural collaboration that happens in and around our five offices, from hanging with our office dogs to happy hour Thursdays, we maintain a vibrant work environment. However, for one month a year we encourage our people to explore the world. Try working from another office or even the beaches of Mexico and expand your worldview, then bring that experience back to the team.

The Role
We’re looking for a seasoned Executive Producer to lead large-scale experiential projects, activations, and integrated campaigns. Based in LA, you’ll be the driving force behind bringing unforgettable brand experiences to life – from ideation to execution. You know how to pull off world-class events with your eyes closed, and thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. This role is perfect for someone with deep big-agency experience and a passion for production that blends creativity with flawless delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the production of large-scale experiential campaigns, brand activations, and integrated projects from pitch to post.
  • Oversee and mentor cross-functional teams including producers, creatives, account leads, and tech partners.
  • Own the production timeline, budget, vendor relationships, and client communications.
  • Ensure every experience is not just flawlessly executed – but unexpected, engaging, and on-brand.
  • Collaborate with strategy and creative to elevate concepts with production insight and feasibility.
  • Serve as the senior client contact on complex or high-profile workstreams.
  • Maintain a strong network of production vendors, fabricators, event specialists, and freelancers.
  • Manage multiple projects at once – calmly and confidently.

What You'll Bring

  • Production experience, with a focus on experiential, events, and activations.
  • Big-agency background with a track record of delivering bold, high-profile work for global brands.
  • Deep understanding of production workflows, budgeting, staffing, and execution.
  • A calm and decisive leader who thrives under pressure.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build trust and steer big conversations.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused.
  • Comfortable working on integrated campaigns that blend live experiences with content, digital, and social.
  • Passionate about culture, creativity, and pushing what’s possible.

Equal Opportunity
Here at Thinkingbox, we are committed to building an environment where our employees continuously feel included, valued and heard. Diversity is our creative strength and it’s a combination of our unique experiences and perspectives that make for some of the best problem-solving. The result? Creativity, growth and innovation. We strongly encourage all applicants, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, disability, or gender identity to apply.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
