About The Role:

Our Executive Operations team is made up of Executive Business Partners who work closely with Notion’s leadership, serving as trusted advisors, collaborators, and problem-solvers. We focus on amplifying the impact of our executives by anticipating needs, streamlining operations, and building systems that keep leaders focused on the highest-leverage work. We’re deeply connected to Notion’s mission and values, and we take pride in creating an environment of collaboration, clarity, and authenticity. Our team thrives on strong relationships, operational excellence, and a shared commitment to building tools that empower people to think and work together more effectively.

We’re looking for an Executive Business Partner to support our leadership team at Notion. This role calls for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and deeply organized — someone who can balance complex scheduling, drive cross-functional coordination, and bring clarity to fast-moving priorities. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, operates independently, and consistently finds ways to improve workflows and communication. You’ll be a key partner in making sure our leaders — and the company as a whole — can move quickly while staying aligned.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA and will be required to work in office at least 3 days each week.

What You'll Achieve:
  • Build strong relationships across teams, becoming a trusted partner who understands dynamics, priorities, and stakeholders.

  • Manage complex calendars, events, and priorities for multiple leaders — ensuring smooth communication, preparation, and follow-through.

  • Anticipate needs and create systems that allow leaders to focus on high-impact initiatives.

  • Communicate clearly and adapt messaging for different audiences, from internal teams to external partners.

  • Track and manage key external relationships, ensuring leaders are informed and ready for every interaction.

  • Balance shifting priorities with accuracy and discretion, meeting deadlines in fast-moving situations.

  • Operate independently, always looking for ways to streamline processes and improve how we work.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:
  • 8+ years of experience in executive support or a similar role, ideally supporting senior leaders in technology or high-growth environments.

  • A track record of managing multiple leaders’ priorities, calendars, and workflows.

  • Experience supporting executives at the SVP level (or equivalent) in a dynamic, fast-scaling company.

  • Deep mastery of organizational systems and tools (e.g. Google Workspace, Asana, Notion, or similar).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to adapt your style to different audiences with professionalism and impact.

  • A balance of discretion and transparency, with a reputation for being trustworthy and reliable.

  • A proactive, independent working style — you anticipate needs and take initiative without waiting for direction.

  • Genuine curiosity about Notion’s mission and excitement about the potential of software that empowers global collaboration.

We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our global employee base to represent the wide diversity of our customers. If you’re excited about a role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every bullet point listed in the job description, we still encourage you to apply. If you’re a builder at heart, share our company values, and enthusiastic about making software toolmaking ubiquitous, we want to hear from you.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
