JOB DESCRIPTION

We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director of Strategy and Operations! This role will work closely with various business units to support and drive strategic projects that create organizational growth and new ways of problem solving. You work across teams to solve complex business challenges, identify new opportunities, and deliver actionable recommendations to key stakeholders across the three pillars of FOX Entertainment: Studio, Distribution, and Network. The Executive Director of Strategy and Operations will report directly to the SVP of Strategy and Operations, and work on a team that connects high-level strategy to operational execution.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Project Collaboration & Support:

  • Work closely with the SVP of Strategy and Operations and other change managers to execute on high-impact strategic initiatives
  • Provide critical analysis, insights, and recommendations across multiple teams
  • Foster relationships across shared services, including Operations, IT, Research, BALA, Marketing, and IT to optimize support for business pillars
  • Own strategy and road mapping of specific initiatives within the Studio, working closely with key stakeholders on the Creative team

Communication & Reporting:

  • Customize communication/presentations for various teams to ensure relevance and engagement
  • Deliver data-driven insights to executive leadership to inform strategy and initiatives
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners to foster collaboration
  • Implement post-mortem mechanisms to continuously improve operations and support

Data Analysis & Insights:

  • Collect and validate data on market trends and internal performance to provide actionable insights that drive business initiatives and operations
  • Research industry trends and competitor activities to identify market opportunities and inform strategy
  • Perform competitor analysis to uncover gaps and areas for growth
  • Conduct financial analyses, including valuations and assessments of M&A  to guide strategic decisions
  • Develop clear, qualitative, and quantitative reports and presentations to inform decision-making

  • Ability to align operational strategies with the overarching goals of the Studio, Distribution, and Network pillars
  • Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Persistent and resilient, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on building effective teams and partnerships
  • Work collaboratively across departments and shared services to enhance overall business performance

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 6-8+ years of professional experience
  • Experience working in consulting, project management, and investment banking
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial analysis and/or market research
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and marketing mapping best practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be responsive to urgent requests

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $140,000.00-180,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
