Micron’s Corporate Communications Team seeks an experienced strategic communicator to develop and lead a proactive communications program for the company’s Executive Vice President of Global Operations!

You will be a strategic communicator with experience in counseling senior executives, operating globally and developing and driving compelling stories. The scope of the role will include collaborating with media and other channels to reach a broad set of audiences, including Micron customers, team members, partners, talent, and investors!

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Thought Leadership: Develop and implement a thought leadership plan that positions Micron as an industry leader. Identify key themes, topics, and opportunities to showcase the EVP’s insights on global operations, supply chain management, and technological innovation. 
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, industry journalists, and influencers. Secure media opportunities, prepare the EVP for interviews, and lead media inquiries related to global operations and the EVP’s critical initiatives. 
  • Executive Counsel: Provide crucial communications counsel to the EVP on both proactive and reactive matters. Prepare talking points, presentations, and other communications materials to support the EVP in public and internal engagements.
  • Speaking Opportunities: Identify, secure, and manage speaking opportunities at select top-tier industry conferences. Ensure messaging alignment with corporate objectives and strategic priorities.    
  • Content Development: Build high-quality content for both internal and external audiences, including articles, blog posts, and social media content. Ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with the company’s voice and brand. 
  • Executive social media: Develop and lead the EVP’s social media presence. Craft and post content that reflects the EVP’s voice and thought leadership while engaging with key audiences. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Communications team, marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and coordinated communication strategy. Collaborate on initiatives that require cross-functional input and alignment. 
  • Metrics & Reporting: Monitor and measure the impact of communication strategies and initiatives. Provide regular reports and insights to the EVP and Corporate Communications team, making data-driven recommendations for improvements. 

 

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing.
  • 8-10 years of experience in corporate communications, with a focus on executive communications or supporting C-level executives. 
  • Background developing and driving thought leadership and media relations strategies. 
  • Experience operating in a global technology company, preferably in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry 
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for a variety of platforms. 
  • Strong critical thinking and project management skills leading multiple high-profile projects simultaneously. 
  • Experience in social media management, with a keen understanding of how to optimally empower audiences on platforms such as LinkedIn. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence collaborators at all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. 
  • Knowledge of global operations, supply chain management, and technology industry trends is a plus. 

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$97,000.00 - $220,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
