Position Overview
Mercer is seeking an experienced Executive Benefits Client Relationship Manager to maintain and expand a mid-sized book of business consisting of larger or nuanced accounts across various industries or specialties. This role offers the opportunity to work in a client relations and sales capacity while collaborating directly with carriers on behalf of your clients. Position can be based in multiple locations, with a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities
Develop sales and growth strategies for managed accounts by leveraging an in-depth understanding of client needs, market trends, and internal product or service offerings.
Manage research efforts and analyses on relevant markets and industries to identify potential relationship needs, target new buyer hubs, and expand the book of business for the team and/or personal portfolio.
Complete analysis consolidating project and market data with account needs to deliver competitive and well-thought proposals for personal or senior colleagues’ existing or potential accounts.
Develop project plans by strategizing feasible timelines and work expectations to deliver products and solutions efficiently and successfully to accounts.
Conduct robust analyses to create feasible and effective custom product solutions for new or existing accounts, ensuring overall pricing and policy compliance.
Address escalated issues promptly and effectively to maintain positive client relationships and deliver on promised timelines and outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, business finance, or a related field.
5+ years of experience working with Executive Benefits in a client relations capacity.
Experience managing a mid-sized book of business (130+ clients).
Life & Health Insurance Licensure.
Knowledge of project management and presentation design.
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and adapt to tight deadlines and changing client needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Series 6 and/or Series 63 License
Consulting experience.
Excellent project management and multitasking skills.
