Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and trusted Executive Assistant to provide direct support to the CEO, Chief of Staff, and select members of the Executive Leadership Team. This is the most senior administrative role at Slingshot Aerospace, reporting to the Chief of Staff and playing a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, focus, and effectiveness of our executive operations.
In addition to traditional executive support, this role will partner closely with the Chief of Staff on HR administration, including coordination of sensitive personnel matters, onboarding, and internal communications. The Executive Assistant will also serve as a key liaison to the Board of Directors and Investors, ensuring seamless communication and logistics for high-stakes engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted operational partner to the CEO and select executive leaders, enabling focus, effectiveness, and follow-through across a complex, fast-moving environment.
- Manage and protect the CEO’s time and attention, including calendar strategy, meeting prioritization, and proactive preparation.
- Act as a control point for information and access, exercising sound judgment and discretion with highly sensitive internal and external matters.
- Coordinate seamlessly with the Chief of Staff, executive team, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
- Anticipate needs, surface risks, and resolve issues independently when appropriate, escalating thoughtfully and at the right moments.
- Support complex logistics including travel, meetings, events, and expenses with a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.
- Uphold and model leadership culture, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all interactions.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience supporting C-level executives in high-growth, high-trust environments.
- Demonstrated experience handling HR-related administrative tasks or working closely with People/HR teams.
- Experience interfacing with Boards of Directors and investors in a professional and confidential manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with collaboration tools like Slack and Zoom.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or technology sectors is a plus.
