About the Role

We're hiring an Executive Assistant to support a group of 3 Sales VPs as Cognition scales its go-to-market organization. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role: you'll be the operational backbone for a fast-moving sales leadership team, keeping calendars, communications, travel, and cross-functional coordination running smoothly so our leaders can stay focused on revenue and team growth.

You'll work closely with Sales, GTM Operations, Marketing, and the broader EA team in our San Francisco office. This role is based on-site and requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and can juggle competing priorities across multiple executives without dropping a thread.

What You'll Do
  • Manage complex, ever-changing calendars across multiple Sales VPs, proactively resolving conflicts and prioritizing based on business impact.

  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including itineraries, visas, and last-minute changes.

  • Own logistics for sales leadership meetings, QBRs, offsites, and customer/prospect visits, from scheduling to room setup to follow-up.

  • Act as a gatekeeper and first point of contact for the executives you support, exercising sound judgment on prioritization and confidentiality.

  • Prepare and edit correspondence, presentations, and internal communications on behalf of the Sales VPs.

  • Partner with GTM Operations, Recruiting, and Marketing to coordinate cross-functional initiatives and events.

  • Process expense reports and manage budgets related to travel, events, and team activities.

  • Anticipate needs before they arise and proactively solve problems with minimal oversight.

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion.

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, ideally supporting multiple executives or a sales/GTM leadership team in tech.

  • Track record of thriving in fast-paced, high-growth, ambiguous environments — startup or hyper-growth tech experience strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and an ability to context-switch across multiple executives' priorities without losing detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with senior leaders, customers, and external partners.

  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.

  • Proficiency with calendar, travel, and productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Ramp, Salesforce).

  • A proactive, no-task-too-small attitude paired with the ability to operate independently.

  • Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco; able to work on-site 5 days a week.

Equal Opportunity

Cognition is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities throughout the hiring process - please let us know if you need any.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
